Spring Foraging & Herbal Medicine Walk at Green Man’s Garden

18 April @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

€15

Have you ever wondered what wild foods and healing herbs grow right under your feet in your spring garden?

Join me for a guided foraging and herbal walk through the beautiful and biodiverse setting of Green Man’s Garden, a pesticide-free, working market garden nestled in Conna, County Cork.

As we wander through the lovely cultivated beds and wild hedges, I’ll guide you in recognising edible and medicinal plants, sharing both traditional and modern uses, as well as a few threads of Irish myth and folklore woven in along the way. It’s a space to connect with nature, the land, and old knowledge in a grounded, welcoming way.

Details:

  • The walk will last a minimum of two hours
  • Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather — the ground is uneven in parts and this is a working garden
  • Bring a notebook and pen if you’d like to take notes
  • Roger’s veg shop will be open on the day — cash only if you’d like to pick up some fresh produce

Booking is essential — places are limited and must be reserved in advance. If you need to cancel, please give at least three days’ notice to allow time for your spot to be offered to someone else. You can view the Frequently Asked Questions below.

Note: While this event is not designed for young children, under-12s are welcome to come along for free but they must remain under supervision at all times so as not to damage crops, and please do get in touch beforehand to let me know as spaces are limited.

Let the plants guide your path and the stories stir your roots come see what’s growing.
